Julian Sands for Lupin?

 He has been a warlock and a forlorn tormented vampire.  Why not a 
forlorn tormented werewolf?  He is 44 which would put him closer to 
Alan's age.  He can be soft spoken, as I see Lupin. The golden hair 
would have to go :-)  He is slim, so he could appear gaunt if 
needed.  I don't know how much he has worked with children, but 
as "Nick" in Rose Red he was quite charming and took up for the young 
Annie.
