I think that they will have him pass out on the train initially (thereby 
introducing us to Lupin) Later have them allude to the Hufflepuff/Gryffindor 
Quidditch match by picking up with the scene from the book where the team 
minus Wood (who the twins think is trying to drown himself in the shower) 
explains what happened including Cedric's offer to play the game over) and 
Hermione handing him the bag of Nimbus toothpicks.
