Well if this isn't the most pointless debate in... Anyway, let me 
explain, and then let's be friends.

Yes, there is. What I meant was simply: if they're going to have the 
kids wear muggle clothes after lessons etc., why not have them wear 
muggle clothes of the right time period?

Yes, but there is still a general idea of what people were wearing 
then (this is of course always a difficult part for filmmakers to get
