but I thought I might have something that was usefull.

At this website you can see both widescreen and letterbox images of HP
and the Sorcerer's Stone overlayed, so one image give you both formats
for easy comparison.

It's kind of a toss up, there are some scenes where letterbox give a
better picture and others where widescreen works best. That's one of
the reason I've put off buying this movie. I can't decide which format
to get.
