Very interesting information wrt. Ludo Bagman -
The other STC info on their website seems to be accurate but v. odd
that casting for GoF would begin this early unless... the young cast
are REALLY growing fast and they have to shoot the fourth film
straight after PoA.
If this is confirmed (Martin Landham), then guess that the rule for
casting is (sorry).. anyone but an American (though to be fair,
Australians ARE her (English) majesty's loyal subjects.
Anyhow, here are links to photos of various people - utterly biased
as chosen by me:
LUDO BAGMAN
Martin Landham (? Bagman-to-be??)

ml
Mark Addy (my choice)

SYBILL TRELAWNEY
I think that Tilda Swinton would be a really good addition to the
cast - she can act the trousers off anyone (well, she did
in "Orlando") and she looks the part. For those having difficulties
envisaging her as Trelawney, try this photo taken awhile ago - (add
a few wrinkles)
Tilda Swinton (?awaiting confirmation)

PROFESSOR UMBRIDGE
Madga Szubanski - my choice
I mentioned her earlier and was lucky enough to see this photo where
she plays a character partial to pink cardigans, with an irritating
high voice (note also - the pink BOW!)

Patsy Byrne - would be good too (if she's not too old)
NARCISSA MALFOY
My choice (in order to get the cast of "Blackadder",
nevermind "Gosford Park" in the films)
Miranda Richardson

Alternatively, though I agree with others that Kristen Scott-Thomas
would be good, I do feel that she is too sterotyped in frosty
aristo. roles - what about ... (see below) Joely Richardson (less
well-known);I think that she would be great in her cameo with Jason
Isaacs and Tom Felton - one happy (v. blonde) Malfoy family!

Joanna Lumsley, though fabulous, is a *little* too old (IMO) to play
Narcissa however, I would be absolutely thrilled if old Lucius'
mother rocked up somewhere in book 6 or 7 as I'm sure that Joanna
would make a great Malfoy somewhere down the line.
TONKS
Sorry, in retrospect - just don't envisage either Keira Knightly or
Kate Beckinsdale as TONKS...too willowly and what-not.Charlotte
Coleman *was* Tonks in "Four Weddings & A Funeral" but alas, is not
amongst us so ...what about Julia Sawalha (from numerous BBC series
as well as "Absolutely Fabulous"?
Julia Sawalha

Couldn't really find any photos of David Thewlis that would fit my
idea of Lupin (though he was great IMO in "Naked" and disturbing
in "Total Eclipse", would avoid both of the above until PoA comes
out).
FINALLY - I don't *usually* like pouring oil on a flame however,
whilst reading OOTP (and still envisaging a Dougray Scott type
Sirius), I found it rather more difficult than previously to
envisage Gary Oldman as our favorite Black family member. I whizzed
through the google search engine and found a few piccys that set my
mind a *bit* more at ease -
SIRIUS BLACK
young oldman (ie: imagine Bestman at James' & Lily's wedding Sirius)
http://gameover.sapo.pt/gfx/155322.gif
grungy oldman (?? blasting Peter Pettigrew off the planet sirius)
http://www.dacre.org/stills/webo/Oldf383.jpg
swashbuckling (Rosengranz) oldman (? motobike sirius)
http://www.thethirdrail.com/ratbastard/rosen.jpg
Desperate oldman (ie: as I imagine him in PoA)
http://www.theforce.net/jedicouncil/castingcall/pics/oldman.jpg
For the sake of maintaining the board's sanity, I respectfully
suggest that the words "Gary Oldman" and "5th Element", "Dracula"
are not mentioned in the same sentence.
I'd love to see Dame Judi Dench in the film as well as Stephen Fry
but think that Professor Grubblyplanks would not be a large enough
part for Dame Judi - Neville's grandmother perhaps?I still can't
think of anyone who'd be a reasonable Bellatrix, though for some odd
reason, this old publicity photo of the gothic writer, Anne Rice,
captures the essence of Bellattrix (but without the heavy-lidded
eyes), perfectly -
Anne Rice (obviously out of the running 'cause she's an American
writer and not an actor etc. etc..)

Over to the rest of you!
