Weirdly, I was having the same problem when reading OotP, but I'm still a
huge proponent of Gary Oldman. I have no doubts about him being a brilliant
Sirius in the films. Also, having loved Gary Oldman for almost as long as I've
loved Alan Rickman, I'm dying to see them play against each other in the
Shrieking Shack scene.

Dougray Scott (by the way, is that pronounced Doo-gray or Dug-ray?) ...Yes, I
saw him as the standard British bad guy in Mission Impossible 2 (and I
definitely preferred looking at him to Tom Cruise), and then later figured out he
was the prince in "Ever After," so he's got that bad guy/good guy verasatility
needed to play Sirius, and he's a beautiful, beautiful man, but actually TOO
beautiful.

The thing I find so endearing about the male HP actors that have been cast is
that they are all attractive to me in a kind of quirky, non-traditional way,
and it's really all about presence and attitude, and great acting ability.
Alan Rickman exemplifies this, of course, but also David Thewlis, Gary Oldman,
even Mark Williams (Arthur), and Dan and Rupert too. I can't tell you how much
I am looking forward to the PoA movie with the cast they have chosen.
