Cast Me!

No, not me (unless you're looking for the long-lost offspring of
Hermione Granger & Viktor Krum)..

There are more cast members out there who by virtue of their
anonimity, peerage or vintage are just patiently waiting in line for
their chance to be immortalised into a "Lego" person, just like the
late Richard Harris by appearing in one of the forthcoming films.
Problem is, I just can't seem to pin-point who they'll be
channeling. Here are a few to start off with (incidentally, I
fervently believe in that whole "a picture tells a thousand words"
business) ...

Born to be in Slytherin -

Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (mentioned in earlier posts)was Draco's evil
cousin, Steerpike in "Gormenghast" long before he was in "Bend it
Like Beckham". Though he's aged a fair bit since that role
(Gormenghast, that is), I defy anyone to not stick him in a future
film as an Ever So Evil Slytherin. And - sorry - as much as I like
young Severus, I *don't* think that Mr Rhys-Meyers would do as a
young Snape "before he went all seedy and joined the Death Eaters"

Mr Stephen Fry
How can you possibly be the wonderfully deep, plummy voice on all of
those Harry Potter tapes, 6-foot 4, British, have personally met JKR
and NOT be in one of the films? You simply can't. I predict that
Stephen Fry will eventually turn up in one of the books - who do you
see him portraying (as I haven't got a clue).

Dame Helen Mirren

Right. She's an eminent British actor, friend of Alan Rickman AND
just been appointed a Dame, PLUS she was very disturbing in her role
as Michael Gambon's wife in "The Cook, the Thief, his Wife and her
Lover"...

The stars foretell that Helen Mirren will be ... in Harry Potter 3?

Dame Judi Dench
See above (except that she didn't appear as Michael Gambon's wife in
that film. Obviously.)

Over and out for now -

us for many, many years under the guise of the late, great "Spike
