I'm sure they'll have enough Quidditch to make winning the Cup exciting. I
think Wood just had such a small part in this one (despite it being an
IMPORTANT part, argh) that they figured they could make it work without him, which
also saved them his salary, whatever that was. I doubt his salary was enough to
be a big consideration in whether to have him in the movie or not -- I think
it was a time constraint thing -- they could have someone say Wood was trying
to drown himself in the shower, etc., have Harry gripe about Wood driving him
nuts with strategy tips, etc., without ever showing Wood himself (daggone it!)
