Both McKellan & Lee are too old for Voldemort.  Remember he would be about 66 or so.  And for the last 13 years he had been closer to a ghost then a human, probably did age that well...

Uhhh... *hides under desk*... what about Sir Ian as Voldemort?? He's 
certainly be playing against type... maybe he'd like to play an Evil 
Overlord after playing Gandalf the Good for several years. It would 
certainly be a change. Christopher Lee would be great as Voldy, but 
the casting would be sooooo obvious... And now that I think of it 
(thanks Eric), Malcolm McDowell would make a great (but again 
obvious) Voldy.

Hmmm, not bad at all (just saw his photo :-) Yet another British 
actor I hadn't heard of before (I don't go to Bond movies, so sue 
me)... but he'd definitely do.
