I agree with you, Lynda - actually, we do get *some* idea of
Voldemort's cinematic face (reasonably accurate to his eventual
reappearance, IMO) at the end of PS/SS, on the other side of Ian
Hart's head. I agree with the being tall business however whoever
gets chosen to be the re-constituted Voldemort in GoF will
undoubtedly be wearing a fair bit of facial prosthetics in order to
attain the "slit like nose" and the serpentine appearance, making
their everyday physical appearance somewhat less relevant.

What is critical however, is finding the performer who can project
the one physical feature of Voldemort's physical state that is
stated repeatedly throughout the entire series - I refer to his
*voice* of course, which is consistently, "high and
cold", "chilling", "like ice".. you get the idea. Christopher Lee
would be very good though I suspect that he wouldn't want to do it
for the cash (what with the other pies he's got his fingers
in)...alternatively of course, my own (humble) suggestion for the
*most* Ever-So-Evil Slytherin to emerge from Hogwarts, Richard E
Grant would fit all requirements to a tee - though if JKR decided
that Voldemort was going to restore himself to his handsome young 16-
year-old self through further "facial-enhancement" magic in the
remaining books, I for one, wouldn't exactly complain ;-)

making him Barty Crouch Jnr. GoF)
