So? Why couldn't she do another witch role?  The character in 
Bedknobs and Broomsticks was an "apprentice" witch, and she was a 
good character to boot.  Based on Ms. Lansbury's performance in the 
Manchurian Candidate, the other poster seems to think that she could 
do an excellent job playing a "bad witch."  I haven't seen that film 
so I can't judge, but having her play Umbridge would be quite a twist 
for her, especially after all those years as Jessica Fletcher.
