They finished the filming they were doing in Scotland in June.  Not all the filming.  There's still a good bit to do in the studio, I'm sure.  I heard somewhere (Leaky Cauldron?  Mugglenet?) that there was a half way part about a month ago, so I'd say it's still another 3 to 4 months of filming.  I should imagine most of the complicated sfx stuff is done by now to give sfx people time to work.

Those pictures were done a couple of years ago in a photo shoot.  The magazine people had heard Daniel liked dogs, so they brought along a dog for him to play with.
