I've not yet read the book (I ordered it from Amazon UK so I could get the 
"Adult Edition", since I have the "Adult Editions" of the other 4), but 
keep in mind that by the time they get around to filming OoP, Daniel will 
be at least 2 to 3 years older than he is right now - and is likely to do a 
lot of maturing - not only as an actor, but also as a person - in that time.
