This is only my guess, but probably they change that Snape didn't go
into the sheirking shack, he confronted Lupin+Sirius+trio+Peter when
they step outside of the shack. So he tie up Lupin right there
(because Lupin is oh-so-dangerous) and refuse to listen. Then Lupin
transform, break the ropes, Snape tried to protect the trio, but the
werewolf knock him out.

I think if the film follow exactly like the book it'll be really
boring and not cinematic enough. There's just too many "talking"
and "explaining" from Lupin, then the awkward pause in between by
Snape (he came in, knock out, drag out..), then Lupin speak again,
then they reveal Peter....I mean, that'll be a bad script if they did
exactly that. These all works well in the book, but definitely not on
film. So I think they move the part where Snape came in with the
invisibility clock, and had him confront the crowd when they step
outside of the shack.
