Wow, I'm amazed by how many people seem to dislike David Thewlis! If you're
basing this only on the few images that have been released so far I wouldn't
worry. I agree they are not the best shots, but I have admired David as an
actor for years and I have no doubts that he will be awesome. I was so happy
when I heard he was going to be playing Lupin (who is one of my favourite
characters too). He is perfect, perfect for the role! I recently saw his
newest film 'Cheeky' at the London Film Festival which he acted in and
directed, and he did a Q&A with the audience afterwards and he also came
across as really funny and a lovely person.

If you want to see how good he can be I would suggest checking out some of
his other films, particularly Mike Leigh's 'Naked' which is the one that
pretty much cemented his reputation here in England. Alan Rickman, Gary
Oldman and David Thewlis together in the Shrieking Shack is going to be
AMAZING and I for one can't wait!!
