IIRC, she's told Steve Kloves things on a need-to-know basis, but I
truly doubt she's given Cuaron any inside
scoop. He's (Cuaron) said that he was only ever on board for this film.
That makes sense. This is the easiest book
to translate to the screen of the Canon (so far), and the one more suited to
Cuaron's style.

Mycropht again:
Well, since Ron is my favourite non-Harry character, I sincerely hope that
you are wrong. In all honesty, to be slavish
in detail to TSP, Harry would be the one corrupted. I truly do not see her
going that way with it. I really think that
Cuaron or Kloves or both probably are drawing on the Shakespearean elements
of this one book in order to create a
movie with deeper context. When you think about it, using TSP as framework
is really an elegant idea. There are so
many elements of the play that work against this one story. I think
personally, however, that Harry's role over the larger
story arc is to unify the Magical world by ridding it of false caste
systems. More Ghandi than the Thane of Cawdor.
As far as Ron's "evil"goes, I don't think we'll see that. I truly don't. I
am more inclined to think that we will learn that
James was a Slytherin.
