Well, maybe you have seen him in other films?  He was the chorus 
in "Henry V".  He played Frank in "Dead Again" (which, by the way, is 
another of those parts where he was sympathetic at the begining...but 
to say more would give away the plot for those of you who want to 
check out a film that is quite an homage to Hitchcock.).  He was a 
protege of Lord Lawrence Olivier (oh, if only he was still alive, he 
would be the perfect LV).
