You're not wrong there.
Snippetty snip.

Call me a purist, but I'd rather a dark haired chap:
"...Then there was the fact that Cedric looked the part of a champion so
much more than he did. Exceptionally handsome, with his straight nose,
dark hair, and grey eyes, it was hard to say who was receiving more
admiration these days, Cedric or Viktor Krum..." (p260, GoF, Australian
hardback)

Goodness me. I'm quite glad that your visual expectations of Cedric don't
match mine - or JKR's. ;) (But how about Prince Harry for a Weasley?)

Y'know, if Christian Coulson hadn't been cast as Tom Riddle I would've
thought of him as Cedric - yes he's too old, but he was also too old to
play Tom. (And yes, I'm not the first and won't be the last to express
this opinion, despite my appreciation of Mr Coulson's efforts.)
I think VJH's suggested 'virtual unknown' is probably going to be spot on.
Now the rider: all of the above being null and void because I'd be paying
good money to see PoA even if Cedric was played by a dalek.
Cheers,
Fiona
Who still thinks VJH's suggestion of the much altered Michael Jackson to
play Lord Thingy one of the best yet.
