Its odd that ABC is airing Harry Potter not WB isn't it? I know that the WB
has the first rights to show LOTR.
Sorceror's Stone has been shown on cable many times already -- I don't
remember if it's been shown on network TV or not, this may be the first airing on
network TV. I'm sure they want the most "bang for the buck" so going with ABC
instead of the WB is a good idea, because there are many markets that don't
have the WB -- it's not "basic cable" in many places. ABC being "free access"
TV, their ads for PoA will have the widest possible audience, and since ABC is
owned by Disney, it was probably the best choice of network (and Disney
probably worked hard to get the rights of first showing anyway). JMO.
