The cinema program always changes on Thursdays in German movie
theaters and on Wednesdays in France. So a new movie will usually be
released on a Thursday over here. We even got to see "The Return of
the King" on a Wednesday, but that was an exception. June 3 is a
Thursday, so PoA will be released one day earlier in Germany than in
the US. 

Just as a side note: we often have to wait weeks or even months until
we get to see some movies from the other side of the Atlantic. And
PS/SS was released a week later in Germany.
