[HPFGU-Movie] animagi - choice or chosen?

Actually, the name and the animagus form of Sirius is why I refuse to
believe evil Sirius as a future revelation in the series.  I am completely
incapable of believing that anyone who transforms into a dog could betray.
I trust my life and safety to a dog everyday--my guide dog, Bianca--and I
have 
worked with guide dogs for 30 years.  Since the wizard doesn't choose its
animagus form, it must be that the loyalty and faithfulness is part of
Sirius.

Sherry and Bianca who says she might be a brat and is often quite silly, but
she is always faithful, loyal and true!

Me too!  Here are a few tidbits I found when I Googled on "symbolism dog"
(which returned 213,000 hits).  Certainly some of these apply to Sirius.

Of course there are many, many more.  That guardianship thing comes up
frequently, which is a bit disconcerting - Harry is already beginning to

without Sirius.

Or it could just be that he was named after the Dog Star.
