I don't know English actors well enough to think of someone better, 
but Joan Collins is tiny. I cannot see her playing someone described 
as "manly".  I can't find my book 4 right now but IIRC, she is 
described as tall and rather big too.  I know her hands are manly. I 
will give Joan Collins the voice though..."lovely".

Sue, who thinks Rita is probably in her 40's.
