casting Bellatrix

I totally agree with the both of you about Miranda Richardson (what a fantastic
actress! Loved her in Sleepy Hollow -which reminds me... if only they had
appointed my darling Tim Burton to direct GoF... [sigh]- and also, in a totally
different register, in Stephen Daldry's The Hours).
My own first choice for Bellatrix, though, would rather be Kristin Scott-Thomas
-she's the one I was seeing in my head all the time as I was reading OotP. I
think she could be amazing, she just has the right kind of cold beauty that can
easily be spooky as well as fascinating, and with the right make-up she could
easily look like she's spent the last thirteen years in Azkaban.
But I won't mind at all if they do cast Richardson instead of Scott-Thomas.  :)


Anyway, talking about casting ideas, there has been so much discussing about
various casting possibilities over the last few weeks, so I was thinking... Why
not do again what we did last summer, and establish a list of our dream cast?
The idea would be to make a list of the still to be cast characters, and each
group member coming up with a new idea copy-paste the list in a post and add
their own ideas... (do I make sense here?)


Mathilde, who was very happy to read that Newell and co are really casting real
french people for the BeauxBtons crowd... youpi!



PS: about Mundungus... I know this must seem completely crazy, but I keep
picturing him as... er... Peter Mullan! It's official: I'm loosing it...  :)

PS2: Has everyone read the latest PoA set report on The Leaky Cauldron? There's
a very cool interview with the Trio, Dan and Emma are as adorable as usual!  :)
