Sophia,

I think both directors did a good job.  As you said, they can't do 
completely RIGHT by the books, but I love all three movies and I 
think they did the best they could.  Heck, I'm just so excited they 
were even made into movies, I will forgive a few left out things!  I 
have to say, however, I LOVE the way Cuaron directed the kids, and I 
love the darker, grittier take on it.
