I'm with bd-bear on two points (if I got her points right):
- When comparing with the other films, I also find the
book-film differences much more disturbing in PoA.
The *perceived* differences, not an attempt to judge
on an objective scale.
- I was unsatified with the PoA film because of its differences.
I'm all positive towards the general arguments, that there
must be differences due to different media, but then, in nearly
all cases the film is different, but does makes sense without
reading the book. In PoA, not knowing the book, will leave you
clueless abou what's going on. And knowing the book, did leave
me disturbed about the changes.
Just my 2 Euro-Cent.

Peter Jacobi
