But isn't this exactly what JKR is doing in the books?

Though I do agree they are getting a bit ahead of themselves
in the movies, since nothing overt has happened to show
there is "romantic" tension between Ron and Hermione until
Gof.

At the speed they are going in the movies, they'll have to
have a wedding in the the last one ;)

In the books, JKR has not let anything much happen with
their relationship by book 5 (they haven't even admitted to
each other that they are attracted). This makes me think
she isn't going to let them have a bunch of teenage crushes
and may want this to be the real thing for Ron and Hermione.

Maybe it's Harry and Ginny, who represent that part of
teenage life in HP?
