Opps...sloppy memory I suppose. I guess the word 'cloak' and 'robe'
became the same word in my head. Again though, it really doesn't
matter if they do were robes or muggle clothes during the school-year
in the books, since the movies take their own artistic license.
Dumbledore appears to be the only one really wearing *robes* as
opposed to just a cloak over more "normal" appearing clothes. As far
as I can remember, the books don't make any mention of the "uniform"
of ties and slacks and skirts that they wear in the movies, nor the
house-specific outfits either, so maybe the book kids are more
comfortable in their robes than the movie-kids are in their uniforms
(and thus, want to wear "street-clothes" outside of school).
