Hi All,

As part of our celebrations of 21 years of walking out together, my
wife Kate and I went to see Harold Pinter's "The Dumb Waiter" and
some short sketches by him at the Arts Theatre in Cambridge last
night.

It was a really fantastic production. I've seen Pinter plays before
and they are always tense, edgy, and surreal, but these were also
very very funny. We're the last venue on the tour; the production
started off in Oxford. I totally recommend going to see it if you
can make it before the run ends on Saturday night.

I can hear you all asking what on earth this has to do with Harry
Potter. The production was by The Oxford Playhouse and included two
actors: Toby Jones and Jason Watkins. They were both amazing; Toby
had such a plastercine face! Now, I have it on reliable authority
(from Megan, my daughter) that my Dobby voice is better than Stephen
Fry's and better than the movie voice, but who did the movie voice?
That's right, Toby Jones. I spent some of the evening trying to see
if I could recognize Dobby in his acting, but I couldn't.

So if you'd like to see Dobby's voice in the flesh, hurry along to
the Arts Theatre in Cambridge before the show stops.

Cheers,

Dumbledad
