Have you seen the new "deluxe" POA figures? I think
they are much better quality and do look like the
actors. Quiddich Harry, especially, I think really
looks like Dan Radcliffe and has such a nice happy
expression on his face.

I'm a sculptor myself, and I waited eagerly to see how the figures were going
to be done. I was disappointed in them, but I did buy the "Expecto Patronum"
Harry -- it has Dan Radcliffe's profile (very well done, actually), even if
it does make him crosseyed (bad painting, and they made his eyes too small.
*sigh*). The front of his face doesn't look as much like Dan, but overall, it's
close enough, and daggone it, I just wanted one, and it was the best one I
could find. I DO wish somebody would come out with EXCELLENT ones, but still in
an affordable price range (where I wouldn't feel stupid for paying that much
for a toy!). I had to laugh at the "collectible limited edition figurines" on
the HP Wizard store site (thanks to whoever provided the line!). They're
really not that interesting and certainly not well-done sculptures (although the
troll one is interesting). And why they do the clocks, etc., with the book
illustration art instead of pictures of the actors is beyond me. If they had a
wall clock with Dan on it as Harry, I'd buy it for my studio! But nope, it's
the painting instead. *sigh* And I really do need a new clock in there. . .
