Yes, I've noticed in several interviews including this past Sunday, that Dan
seems to prefer Chris Columbus to Cuaron. Perhaps I'm reading between the
lines, but when they were talking about how different the directing was, Dan
said something like "Yes, it worked out great "in the end". Like maybe in
the beginning, it was a struggle for him to adapt? He has said stuff in the
past like "Alphonse is much more "intense". Does that mean,
demanding/temperamental? (although I must admit, from previews alone it
really seems to have paid off from both a visual and an acting standpoint.
I also found it touching when Chris Columbus mentioned how attached he had
become to the kids, and that he felt responsible for turning them over to
someone new.
And now a third director for GOF and OOP. Must be hard to continually have a
new "boss". But then again, most actors don't have the good fortune to work
with the same cast year after year. I hope they all continue to the 7th
movie!
