Yes!  I was debating between Anthony Hopkins and Jeremy Irons as 
Voldemort.  I think both would be excellent for the part.

Actually, in my mind whenever I read the books I envision Snape's 
voice as being nearly identical to Irons' voice of Scar in the Lion 
King.
