akh: If you have the DVD, you can watch it with the subtitles, and it will give you the line.  I'm not watching it right now, but IIRC, it is "It's on the cat."  

I don't know that Ron hates all cats; he's just not fond of Crookshanks or Mrs. Norris.  At any rate, Rowling established in the books that Ginny loves cats, so it's entirely reasonable she would have one as a pet.
