Thank you so much for sending that in! Its nice to know what WON'T be in the
movie ahead of time so I won't be waiting for it and get disappointed (and
thus distracted).

>> There is a line that shocked me, they put this line in the
film. Marge states the breeding problem (referring to Harry) comes
from the mother comparing it to dogs. I think it was something
like "if there is something wrong with the b*#%h then there is
something wrong with the pup" <<

I can't believe that made it to the movie either, I expected that to get
written out (like Draco's harshest lines to Ron), IMO, its the *worst* of all the
horrible things she says about Harry's family.

>>The Fat Lady does get slashed but you never meet Sir Cadogen nor does
Neville lose the passwords nor Sirius get in and slash Ron's
bedcurtains. Kind of miss seeing those scenes. <<

No Sir Cadogen at all? I thought an actor had been cast for the part. Maybe
it was cut out. (I'm very disappointed by the way, that they'll be no Sirius
attacking Ron scene, but, again, its better to know now so I can get over it
before I see the movie).

>>The part with Snape and the map is a bit different from the book
whereas, late one night Harry is watching the map (the map is done
well with names and stuff), and Harry sees Peter Petigrew's name on
the map so he sneaks off to I suppose catch him which is when Snape
finds him with the map. It insults him once and Harry reads it to him<<

I can't wait to see that. Its fantastic that the map insulting Snape made it
to the movie, even if its not explained that James/Sirius/Lupin/Peter wrote
the map. Although I wonder if the films are *ever* going to bring up that Snape
hates James Potter, or if its going to be a surprise in OotP (they certainly
can't cut the pensieve scene out). I'm still surprised that it wasn't at least
*mentioned* in SS/PS, without the quick Snape-hates-James-Potter/Prank
explanation, a lot of Snape's actions don't really make sense in SS/PS.

>> The shack scene is well done - Sirius is really maniacal - quite insane
at first. He doesn't seem sad like in the book just crazy to kill
Peter (well you figure that out later). When Remus comes in and he
hugs Sirius - you can tell they are good friends.<<

Very much looking forward to seeing Gary Oldman 'maniacal' (yes, I know he's
that way in *every* movie he's in), and I'm REALLY pleased that the hug
between him and Lupin is still there, that moment gave me a HUGE shock when I first
read the book.

>>Also Harry is the only one who attacked Snape but it was cool to see him
fly and crash the bed. <<

At least Snape makes it to the Shack, I was worrying for awhile that him and
Sirius wouldn't be face to face until GoF.

>>This is the last you see of Snape so he does not pitch
his fit later on. Oh well I would have loved that.<<

That being cut out is almost enough to make me cry. Alan Rickman does a
screaming rage so perfectly its a shame to deprieve us of it. That, and its one of
my favorite scenes in the book, especially the way he jumps to it being
Harry's fault but can't prove it, the amount of rage becomes rather funny.

>>One part that is a little funny is
Hermione2 critiquing Hermione1's hair. <<

Not *quite* in character for Hermione to do something like that, but it
sounds pretty funny, so it doesn't matter (even bookish girls care about their
looks sometimes I suppose).

>>but there is no permission slip for the next year for Hogsmeade. Guess they
will need to fix that for GOF if they even go to Hogsmeade in GOF film
version. <<

That'll be easy enough to fix, Sirius is supposed to write Harry at the
beginning anyway (although it could easily end up cut out), they could slip that in
then. Hopefully they go to Hogsmeade in GoF, or we will miss out on the trio
talking to Sirius in the cave.

Again, thanks for the review, and it wasn't too spoilish, at least not for
all of us who've read the book many times.
