As someone who's seen almost all of Ralph's film
roles, trust me on this: Ralph will have absolutely NO
problem playing Voldemort. He's a shape-shifter in
terms of the roles he plays (much like Johnny Depp
who, while extremely handsome, can sink completely
into the strangest of roles). From the pot-bellied,
cold-eyed Amon Goeth in "Schindler's List" to the
druggie in "Strange Days", to the burned and
disfigured de Almasy in "The English Patient" - Ralph
can play good or evil, handsome or homely (and
everything in between) with ease. He's a really
terrific actor. I was far more worried about how Gary
Oldman would do as Sirius, and I thought he was great.
I was so thrilled when Ralph was cast, because I have
absolutely no fears about how he'll do. And besides -
as for his being handsome... film make-up can do some
pretty amazing things.
