Personally, I always thought Bill Nighy would be very good for Lupin--very
lined but still youthful looking face, the right age to be compatible with
Rickman's Snape, the ability to express understated and/or awkward
sentiment.
But, since the casting directors have chosen to ignore me on this (as on
Peter O'Toole for Dumbledore), surely Nighy is talented enough to do
Voldemort as well. Without the problem of being *attractive* in the
role--Nighy would have managed to be sensual but repulsive, and I don't know
that Fiennes can do that.
