:-)

This is one of the reasons why I love POA, best of all. Part of the
joy in movies, is discovering something new every time you see watch.

Anyway, I think it was just a little something Cuaron decided to throw
in for background interest; to make the scene "come alive", in a way.

Even the background characters have some sort of backstory. They
aren't just window-dressing, but do, in fact, have lives of their own.

This guy sitting the Cauldron, likes reading a muggle's work on
science!! Perhaps he sees it as an intriguing take on magic?

We don't know, but it's fun to speculate. :-)
