Oh wow, I had missed this as I have been traveling on business and
just peeked at Mugglenet. This was really an intense trailer. I agree
even if I was not a fanatic, I would want to see this movie. Looks to
be the best thus far.. As for your questions...
snip
> 1. At the end, where is Harry falling from? Looks like his broom,
but it also looks like it is nighttime. Isn¹t the dragon task during
the day? BTW, how DID the crowd get all the way up that mountain to
see the 1st task? Looks like it¹s a mile from Hogwarts. Unless they
all flew on their brooms?!
Good question as it looks like stairs and fire. Hmm maybe as someone
else suggested, the pensieve. Would make me less likely to use one if
that's the way you go in. No I don't think it is the dragon task as
he is wearing a blue shirt and jeans and he has that nifty uniform in
the dragon task. Oh and I agree about the crowd, what the heck? I
thought they just used the Quidditch stadium and this looks like
there was some travel involved in getting everyone there as it does
look quite a distance from the castle. Hmm. Still interesting though
even though not like the book.
> 2. In the first clip, is that a dragon flying by the windows?
I only saw the pegasus fly by the window. No dragon.
> 3. What do you think of the 3 funky audience stands that are in the
middle of the lake? Weird. And Harry¹s ³aqua-batics²?!?!?! Flipping
out of the water like a dolphin?! Looks pretty whacky to me. I
pictured him more staggering out of the water at the end, gasping and
choking. Those mermaids certainly are evil-looking!
The audience stands look alright but Harry's flip looks a bit over-
the-top. And I also noticed I believe it is Cedric underwater
struggling to get out of the grindylows' grips. That was cool. Yes
the merepeople look evil.
> 4. There was some consternation over the pointed hats of the
dementors. One would imagine that they would have hooded cloaks like
Voldemort did in SS. This makes them look KuKluxKlan-ish, especially
with the fire and persecution of the muggles.
Well, my only comment to this is that I have always thought the De
were sort of KKK-ish. I mean they wear hoods, diguises and persecute
a group of people in THEIR opinion is beneath them. So it doesn't
surprise me to see them hooded and the hats are pointed. Except they
are wearing black and not white like the KKK.

> It certainly looks like the director/art directors went all out on
this one. Must have spent a fortune! GOF is , imo, the most exciting
book of the series. And it certainly shows from the trailer! {Though
they are keeping Voldemort under wraps, aren¹t they! Can¹t wait to
see Ralph Fiennes as V. I almost hope that the WB or someone else
doesn¹t slip and release photos beforehand. I want to be surprised.
> Is it November yet?!!?!?!?!?!?
Yes it does look like they spent a bit on this film but then Mike
Newell said the budget was like that of a very small country when he
took the helm so I am glad to see that it appears they spent the
funds wisely. I too am dying to see how Ralph does as Voldemort. I
remember seeing him in Schindler's List and then in Oscar and Lucinda
and I had to keep reminding myself that he was not Goeth because he
was just evil in Schindler's List but so sweet in Oscar and Lucinda.
I have high hopes for him as Voldemort. And I am counting the days
until November, even told my sons' teachers that they will be missing
in the afternoon. I am so excited now!
