According to the Lexicon - Tom killed his father and in grandparents in
1944 before his 7th hear at Hogwarts. There was a discussion about the
Jr./Sr. thing on the OT list. Aparently, 1. it's not used in the UK and
2. You don't have to have the same middle name. Voldemort and his
father DO have different middle names, so the tombstone in the photo is
wrong. I have to wonder, though, if you'll be able to tell in the film.
Will Harry stand there and look at it long enough for the audience to
get a good look at it? If they just grace over it, the names/dates
won't be THAT big of a deal. I know during a move, I don't usually try
to figure out how old people are based on the ages on the tombstones.
It's a pretty exciting part of the story, so I'm sure people will be
thinking of other things. Don't get me wrong, it'd be nice if they
didn't screw up stuipd things like this. I'm sure there will be larger
and more noticable mistakes.
