I think it's mostly about people's DESIRE to see this happen.  You 
know, that surely JKR won't have *every* Slytherin be a baddie?  

I am aware that Nott's father is a DE.  At her website, though, JKR 
spoke a little about Theo, and she mentioned that Nott is "a clever 
loner who does not feel the need to join gangs, including Malfoy's."  
This has, I think, fueled the speculation that with Voldy *openly* 
back and people, presumably, being forced to make their loyalties 
also more known, some of the Slytherins might elect to NOT follow 
Draco et al./the DE kids.  

So, again, when Nott appeared in the PoA movie, it made many people 
wonder if he isn't going to be someone to play a bigger part in 
future... perhaps even leaving Draco aside.
