Yates's "The Girl in the Caf" scripted by Richard Curtis
("Love, Actually" etc.) and starring Bill Nighy and Kelly
MacDonald will be on the BBC, HBO and stations all around
the globe in the last week of June as a cornerstone of the
"Make Poverty History" campaign. HBO and BBC reportedly
will screen it June 25 and simulcast by BBC Prime across
Africa and broadcasters in all the other G8 nations, along
with a score of other countries. Check your local listings
for the time.

(This is according to the article at:

I'm really bummed because I don't have HBO or BBC. <sigh>
Looks like I'll have to wait until OotP/2007 ("Brideshead
Revisited" or "Life Story" seem unlikely to get into
theaters before then?) to sample Yates's work as a director
because I haven't been able to get my hands on any of his
other works [Sex Traffic, The Young Visiters, State of Play,
Rank, The Way We Live Now, The Sins, The Tichborne Claimant,
The Bill].

The reviews are good but if you watch this, would you tell
us what *you* think of Yates's direction?
