Maybe it has to do with Ron being Rupert's favorite character. Ron
is my favorite character from the books. But I agree with what you
both said. He portrays Ron well. It's like he's becoming Ron.
Considering he didn't right that essay for Cuaron and since he didn't
bother to cut his hair, the producers made him keep it that way
because they thought it was something Ron would do. LOL

is that why Rupert's hair is so long? I thought the GoF director must have
wanted them to have longer hair just to show they're all older (the twins and
Dan all have longer hair, as well). I like it on Rupert - I like Dan's when
the sides are swept back as in that lovely picture from the film where he's
in his sweater and leaning to his left (our right), with his bag strap on his
shoulder. I don't like it as well when it's just "fluffy" over his ears,
but Rupert's hair looks good. The twins have terminally straight hair like me
and theirs looked best, IMO, in the first movie where the very straightness
of it added to their impishness (I just love the twins -- they're so well
cast, just like the trio!)
