What was the deal with Filch and the cannon? Do you think he was signaling
the start of the competition? (probably the dragon?). I¹m so excited for the
movie!!! And the new book! But it makes me nervous when I hear that Mike
Newall ³cut out the bulky subplots of the 700+ page book² to make it into a
manageable movie. I want it all in! Was someone saying in an earlier post
that they think Dobey, Winky and the whole S.P.E.W. Thing was cut out? I
know Hermione always gets lots of airplay, but I thought that was a
particularly amusing part of the story (especially Harry and Ron¹s reaction,
and how mad she¹d get at them!). But I suppose in the grand scheme of
things, it is a definite small subplot.
