Werewolves and the DADA Textbook

I don't normally post, but in a search for LJ-iconnable Neville
pictures, I came across these two readable pages from the Defense
Against the Dark Arts textbook section on werewolves:

(I think you'll have to c&p the url in pieces, because it's *way* too
long.)

It's *filled* with typos and some of the phrases (references to "sub
human [sic] blood," eternal damnation, and illogical rages) sound very
much like the common wizarding world stereotype of werewolves, and
some parts are obviously not true unless Lupin is deliberately hiding
something - for instance, it says that that werewolves are immune to
aging - but there might be a grain of truth in some of it, if the
movie people were diligent in their canon-checking with JKR.  Then
again, I swear I remember reading some of this in some other,
non-HP-related place, and I'm not at all a fan of the humanoid
werewolf they used in the movies.

So.  Thoughts?
