I wonder if Harry has to go in to the pit first and then yell for his fire-bolt? I read a transcript of the movie for this one section - not sure where I saw it? However, I don't want to post a spoiler - and for all I know, that transcript could be a fake! :)

rather like the _look_ of things. And it sounds like Dumbledore's
actually going to talk to Harry at some point, unlike the PoA movie
(he wasn't really talking to Harry in the Hospital Wing scene in PoA,
just coyly dropping hints for Hermione, IMO)
However, in the clip of Harry and the Horntail, it's pretty clear that
Harry is standing on the ground trying (unsuccessfully it seems) to
avoid being struck by the dragon's tail.
I don't recall that Harry is on the ground at all once the Firebolt
arrives, until after he's gotten the egg.
So what exactly have they done in this scene: ditched the Accio
Firebolt! entirely? Decided it worked _too_ well for Harry and not
well enough for film--didn't put the hero in enough danger--so had him
lose the broom at some point? Or could he be waiting for the
Firebolt, just a lot closer to the dragon than he does in the book?
I don't mind them tightening scenes like this up, but I hope they
don't completely change Harry's strategy.
Cheers,
