Well, I have to join GulPlum's crusade once again and encourage you to buy the
WIDESCREEN edition if you do decide to invest in the DVDs. At least for PoA,
since you apparently don't have it, and the widescreen/fullscreen difference is
most important on that one. SS and CoS have some interesting extras on the
DVD, but others can probably speak for the extras better than I can. SS has a
fun little trivia quiz to get to the deleted scenes (ironically, one of the
sets of trivia questions is actually answered IN a deleted scene ;-).
Unfortunately they don't have extended editions (deleted scenes edited back
into the film) for any of them so far. There are some interesting interviews
on CoS as well.
Since the three-movie set is nearly three times the price of the individuals,
it might be worth it to pick up PoA on DVD, and then decide if you want the
other two on DVD. You'd end up spending only a few dollars more if you end up
buying the first two (unless you can find the set on major sale), and you
wouldn't have the box, which frankly in my house would last about two days
anyway.
Good luck!
Sherry
