There are plenty of flowers  in bloom every month between March and
September; June does not produce  more of them than any other of those

We went in May to avoid children out of school and too many  people on 
vacation, mostly, as well as any potential hot weather.  Our last  (and only other) 
overseas trip was to Italy and we also took that one in  May.  The trees and 
flowers in England were in beautiful bloom, the trees  just past their initial 
leafing-out period - a beautiful time of year.   That's why we like to travel 
then, it's probably the prettiest month there  is.  ;->
