Yes, truly. JKR's books are so good with such great detail...I can see
how they would need to be trimmed to make a 2 hour movie. But why
fabricate the plot when the original is so good???
What was wrong with the skrewts? Would it have taken that long to have
a little segment with Hagrid teaching the kids about the nasty skrewts?
The sphinx? She would've been a cool CG animal. And it made it more of
a mental game than running away from the chasing mazes and grabbing
roots. Did they think the younger audience wouldn't have gotten the
Sphinx riddle or what?
It sounded (on the DVD extras) that the maze was quite labor intensive
to create. I think it would've been much less trouble had they stuck
with the original plot.
