As to LV killing his parents, in the beginning of GOF(Book) there is
a whole section on the mysterious deaths and the chatting about it
in Little Hangleton and about the old muggle who took care of the
Riddle House ("Tom had a hard war..."). Although the young boy who
showed up at the Riddle House was never identified, it was obvious
that the killer was young Tom Riddle.
