I'm afraid it's how the sextet get from Hogwarts to the Ministry to
"save" Sirius. Afraid, because that would mean no Thestrals and no
insights into Neville's and Luna's characters stemming from the fact
that they too can see the Thestrals. Time will tell...<snip>

It's there that I found out that Thestrals are included in the movie (a
scene shows Luna and Harry talking about them) although it's still unclear
if this is their eventual mode of transport.  Definitely check out the above
link.it really seemed to fill in more of the gaps that the trailer left
about what is and isn't going to be shown in the film.  Enjoy!
