There is a scene in the movie where David(Dan), his mother
and his 'evil' stepfather are at the dinner table, and the
step-father yells at David(Dan). I swear the way David(Dan)
jump when his father yelled was so convincing, and after
David(Dan) truly looked close to tears. The fact that the
scene so realistically scared Dan, actually scared me when
I watched it.

In another scene when David is working in a factory putting
labels on Jars, he is befriended by an older man, an older
man that I believe eventually ends up in Debtors Prison. In
another scene David/Dan and the older man are walking
together and David/Dan reaches up and holds his hand as they
walk. I suspect it was just a reflex reaction on Dan's part
but I found it very touching. Also, when David/Dan visits
the man in prison, he brings him an apples. I'm sure the
directors thought of that, but in reality I don't see apples
as being very cheap for a poor boy away from home, so it was
truly a magnanimous gesture, and to a man who is surviving on
prison swill I'm sure it was greatly appreciated.

Just curious has anyone seen 'The Tailor of Panama'? Dan
plays Pierce Brosnan's son. I haven't seen the movie but
from what I can gather, all he has to do is eat pancakes in
the movie.

Just a few more thoughts.
